Tearing the Roof Off

Pastor Jonathan Stockstill

Most of us can name someone we love who needs a touch from Jesus. We’ve prayed, worried, and talked about them but sometimes their story changes when someone decides to pick up a corner. In Mark 2:4, friends refused to let a crowded room keep their friend from Jesus. They carried, climbed, dug, and lowered him, and trusted Jesus to do what only He could do.

Key Takeaways:

  • Jesus is still the answer—the power is already in the room.
  • Someone may look stuck, but they are never hopeless to Jesus.
  • Reaching people was never meant to be done alone—it takes four corners.
  • Real faith is visible through passion, perseverance, and action.
  • We carry people to Jesus, but only Jesus can forgive, heal, and transform.

The Big Idea: Put one person in your mind. One face. One name. Then find your corner and help carry them to Jesus.
