Creative: Filmmaker

Bethany Church exists to bring all people into the life, family, and purpose of God. We believe telling stories and developing creative video content helps to fulfill that mission, makes a difference in people’s lives and plays a vital role in leading people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are one church in multiple locations around Louisiana. Nothing makes us happier than seeing lives changed through using our gifts and talents in this creative medium. Our team is fun, hilarious, hard working, passionate and has a desire to honor God with integrity.

The Creative Department is looking for a passionate Filmmaker to join our team. Filmmakers are responsible for the creation of video that support Bethany Church and all its ministries, ranging from live album recordings, storytelling, and to individual promos. If you dream in storyboards and you enjoy “behind the scenes” more than the actual movie, read on for more details.

The basics:

  • Fluent in cinematic language including lighting, lens selection, shot composition, montage, and directing talent
  • Comfortable working in Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Interested in learning new techniques and tools
  • Passionate about communication and art
  • Giddy about teamwork and organization

The Works:

  • Plan, shoot, and edit video projects
  • Work with writers, content developers, producers, and other filmmakers to develop new concepts

The Perfect Fit:

  • Have strong opinions concerning TV, movies, and pop culture
  • Excellent in DP roles
  • Comfortable in fast paced environment
  • Pushes boundaries creatively when capturing
  • Seeks out opportunities for growth in creative skill

This position is full-time and on-site at our South Baton Rouge campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
