Key Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 6:1-2.

The Big Idea:

Kairos is a Greek word for time meaning the right, critical, or opportune moment (compared to chronological time). We are living in a kairos moment! As we celebrate the launch of the NOLA campus this past weekend, we are celebrating a God-appointed moment in our church. God has ordained for the earth to be exactly where it is in 2021! You living here at this moment is not an accident!

Main Points:

  1. An Appointed Moment

    • Esther 4:10-14
    • Esther didn’t know it, but she was living in a kairos moment. Her entire life had been orchestrated by God.
  2. An Appointed Person

    • Everything about Queen Esther was intentional.
    • Her looks, her personality, her nationality… even her being an orphan was not an accident. Her pain was her preparation.
  3. An Appointed Opportunity

    • Esther had to step out in faith that God would go before her into the presence of the king.
    • God gives us the opportunity, but we have to seize the moment.

Discussion Questions:

Have you ever had to do any public speaking? Can you imagine how Esther must have felt as she made the decision to step into the king’s court? Do you have the faith to believe God for that kind of boldness?

What does it look like to step up and be open to the possibility of all God has for you?

Be encouraged this week! You were given the opportunity to live on this earth at this very time in history. Don’t let the opportunity God has placed before you go to waste because you’re filled with worry and fear for tomorrow. Instead, trust and believe in the Word of God. Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 2:6)!

You may never feel closer to God than the moment you decide to forgive someone who isn’t worth it.
