Key Scriptures: 1 Peter 5:8-9

The Big Idea:

We need to acknowledge that there is a spiritual war. This war is against God and those he loves.

Main Points: How to Go On Offense Against the Devil

1. We unify.

   • 1 Corinthians 1:10
   • Satan is the author of confusion, but we are called to live in harmony with one another.
   • Unity starts with just being present. Show up!

2. We mobilize.

   • In order for us to mobilize, we must understand 3 things:
     • Authority
     • The mission
     • We must all do something
   • The local church mobilized is the hope of the world.

3. We evangelize.

   • Did you know the entire spiritual war is over territory?
   • Colossians 2:14-15 says all spiritual authority has been given to Christ.
   • Every soul added to the Kingdom of God is SPIRITUAL WARFARE!

Discussion Questions:

These days, it seems so easy to find yourself in an argument. What has your focus been on lately? Have you practiced engaging with people on common ground?

If you find yourself in the middle of chaos and confusion, have you acknowledged the spiritual battle you are facing?

Challenge:

Did you know all of our spiritual warfare can be won in worship? I’m sure many of you can say you find yourself in a spiritual battle. This week, begin to worship. As we do, I believe we will see strongholds broken.
