Key Scriptures: Matthew 28: 18-20

The Big Idea:

Discipleship is all about following Jesus. It is not about having control over others but walking alongside them.

Main Points: We all need to be a part of a small group because…

1. You’re invited to learn.

   • Matthew 11:28-30
   • As disciples, we get to learn His character.
   • We get to help people every day.

2. You’re invited to love.

   • Discipleship is all about relationships.
   • We are called to walk alongside others.

3. We all need support.

   • When you belong to a community, you belong to a family.

Discussion Questions:

As disciples, we get to learn about God’s character. What is the biggest thing you have learned about God’s character?

Did you know that, as you learn to love others well, you are actually becoming a disciple of Christ?

Challenge:

Read John 13:35. Do you have someone in your sphere of influence who is just hard to love? This week, we can all ask the Lord to show us ways to love others well.
